Hilton Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista/Orlando

We put on 2 MAINSTAGE MUSICALS a year. This program runs 10-12 weeks and trains children in singing, dancing, and acting while putting on a grand final performance.
Our performances vary from theater to theater to give kids different experiences and opportunities but past theaters were at the Orlando Shakes, Montverde Academy, Aurelia M. Cole in Clermont, and Marshall Ellis Theater. While our priority is the students, we strive to make the theater experience fun for the whole family. Children are invited to participate in grades K-12. Our shows usually run from Labor Day to Thanksgiving and again the end of January to after Easter.
We are proud to invite students in grades K-4 to join the CFPA Little Bits. Little Bits meet Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30pm and put on a 30-minute musical in a professional theater. We have 2 professional teachers, Ms. Laura & Ms. Brittany to teach the students in a safe and nurturing environment. All students will be in wonderful costumes and start to learn all areas of the stage. Little Bits grouped together by age because this is a smaller group than our Junior musical. In the Little Bits, all students are promised a line (if they want them) and there are many solo and leadership opportunities. Here they learn the fundamentals of theater, classroom etiquette, vocal projection, memorization, coordination, and teamwork. For more information, click here.

Theater Troupe
Our Junior cast is made up of beginners through advanced theater students in grades 5-12. Students of all levels with a good attitude and willingness to learn are invited to join the cast. We are a non-audition musical theater program to educate students in all areas of theater, performance, and self-pride and motivation. All students who register are guaranteed a role in the show to help them shine and grow.
How do auditions work? All students are taught the audition material at the first night of auditions. There is an opportunity to get an edge by attending the Audition Workshop and getting a couple extra days to practice and prepare the audition requirements. No child is required but we do encourage all to audition for the practice and life experience.
Rehearsals: Tuesdays from 5:30-8:30pm

This is a great opportunity to get to know the other kids and get a head-start on the material… for all you over-achievers!

Take to the air with the intrepid Darling children in this thrilling contemporary musical adaptation of the timeless classic, Peter Pan.
This brand new musical follows the adventures of Wendy, John, and Michael as they wing their way to Neverland and the wonderful world of the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook, and his villainous crew. When Wendy and Tiger Lily are kidnapped by the pirates, can the ever-youthful Peter Pan bring together the Lost Boys and the Braves to free them from Hook’s fiendish clutches?

Engaging in technique-enhancement workshops greatly contributes to your child’s growth and development.
We are delighted to provide these workshops at an exclusive discounted rate, usually offering 1-2 sessions per semester. These enriching sessions are held on Saturday or Sunday mornings, starting at 9 AM and concluding at 12 PM. Workshop content spans various skill levels and styles, such as tap dancing, flexibility training, vocal mastery, stagecraft, audition preparation, show specific technique, and college preparation.

Results are coming hour by hour in each week’s rehearsal of our 12-week run. Students are split into 2 groups to learn to sing, dance, and act. From top to bottom there is never a dull moment. Learning technique through the show material is fun and challenging. We hold extra technique and audition workshops throughout the season to help your child get every opportunity.
Each breakout has one core focus and goal to attain. Every actor is utilized to their best ability. With great participation, no matter how large or small a role is titled; all children have equal opportunities for special moments and solos.

After 10 years as a national dance judge, award winning educator, and professional dancer at Disney World, Brittany understands that no one-performer follows the same journey to success but needs a path mapped out for them to discover their true importance and unique strengths. She travels the world studying dance from all areas and as a small-town girl herself, is passionate about bringing big city opportunities to small town artists.
It is my mission to give back what I’ve learned to be successful and find fame in the biz to lonely but desirous, small-town dancers. I know how it feels to be left in the dust and feel like you’ll always be at a disadvantage because of where we are from. Being proud of my home and upbringing, I need to show other dancers they can, too. By surpassing their geographical limitations, they can receive equal opportunities as dancers from the cities. I feel the parents’ apprehension to invest fully in their child’s dancing because it’s an unknown and unsupported activity in their community. I understand the child’s hesitation to set their goals too high because they are afraid dancing will always be a pipedream. They stay awake at night with the constant anxiety they will not live up to what big city dancers are capable of. I can picture these dancers embarrassed to get overlooked time and time again when they really have the potential to hold their own against the big city competitors. They give up soon as this guessing game is exhausted and feels like a never-ending feat.

Students who want to quit if they don’t get their desired role
All students who sign up for our shows will receive a role. We spend hours organizing and choosing the perfect role for each child where we feel they will truly excel. While we wish we could give everyone their dream role, that is unrealistic when putting on a musical. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to console but explain to your child how important their role will be in the show. It can be disappointing to not get the role you want, but every part in a musical is necessary, vital, and important.
Parents who want to quit if their baby isn’t the STAR
Don’t be a Mama Rose. Your child is important and talented and will be a STAR in whatever role they receive!
Excuse People
If you are the type of person who makes excuses or blames others for your mistakes. Those who don’t take responsibility for their actions or success will not do well in this program. If you find yourself saying, “it’s hard for me… I can’t achieve… can’t do that because I’m too busy… I can’t get the same level of success” then this is not for you.
Moms who want it… but your child does NOT.
If you’re a mom that wants to see your child onstage but your child is not in the game… then this is not for you.
Kids who don’t have the drive to succeed
If you think you can sit back and do nothing and still expect the same results, you are wrong. This program requires work and self-development to really take it to the next level. After you’ve learned and practiced the material, you’ll have more success in your future and become more advanced in theater.
If you are too lazy to put in the work, you will not see any results and this is NOT the program for you.
This positive, purpose-driven theatre program is for students, grades K-12, who are bound for the stage and striving for excellence. It is a fast paced, musical theatre program to teach your child all parts of putting on a production. Your child will apply new principles to be more intelligent for the stage, in school, and in their future.
No, we have beginner to advanced students. When putting on a musical, there is a need for all levels and talents. Each child is given a specific role to make them succeed and learn to their best ability.
CFPA is a program to work with busy schedules and teach time management. Everyone is busy, but it’s how you choose to use your time. We choose to use it at CFPA!
Students meet for 3 hours a week on Monday nights. Depending on your role, will require some outside preparation. We say plan to practice 15 minutes a day and you’ll come back to rehearsal confident and much stronger. Total commitment of 3-5 hours a week.
Additional Commitments:
Week 1 we hold auditions and 1 additional vocal rehearsal on Friday and/or Saturday.
Show week: The weekend prior to the show Sat and/or Sun will be a long rehearsal in the theater. We will hold a TBA rehearsal the Mon-Wed the week of the show at our rehearsal facility. This is their final chance to work in the theatre like professionals. Then our performances will be held Friday-Sunday.
We understand that conflicts and unexpected things come up. If we know about it ahead of time, sometimes we can work out the schedule so your child won’t miss too much… but we cannot go back and reteach. Each week, we learn new material and move on. It is your child’s responsibility to learn what they missed.
No child is required to audition. We highly encourage and recommend it as it is a great learning lesson but we do not force the kids to audition. Only students who audition will get speaking and singing roles.
We also have a separate program called the SHOW ENSEMBLE built for new students to musical theater. It is a 3 week commitment where they still get to be onstage and in the shows. No students in the show ensemble will audition.
