What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

 

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Health & Safety Guidelines

  • Emergency Contacts: Provide up-to-date emergency contact info during registration.
  • Medical Emergencies: 911 will be called for serious issues, and parents notified ASAP. Inform staff of any medical conditions at the start of the season.
  • Allergies & Medications: Inform staff of allergies and medications. Clearly label medications if stored with the director.
  • Injury Prevention: Warm-ups are mandatory to prevent injuries. Report any discomfort immediately.
  • Supervision: Staff supervise all participants during rehearsals, performances, and events. Participants are expected to follow directions and remain in designated areas. Failure to listen or leaving supervised areas without permission may result in dismissal from the program.
  • Pickup & Drop-off: Adhere to scheduled times. Participants will only be released to authorized individuals.

Payment and Registration Information

  • No Refunds After Cast Announced: Once the cast list is released, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. This policy ensures commitment and fairness to all participants.

Social Media and Photography Policy

  • No Photography or Video During Shows: Due to our strict copyright licensing contract, photography and video recording are prohibited during shows.

Attendance Policy

  • Rehearsals: Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals is crucial for success and growth. Participants are allowed one excused absence. Missing rehearsals will negatively impact performance quality and disrupt the ensemble.
  • Absences: Participants may be removed from certain sections of the show or forfeit their roles altogether if they miss rehearsals. Participants are encouraged to prioritize rehearsals to ensure they are fully prepared for the performance.

Code of Conduct

  • Respect: All participants must respect their peers, staff, and the rehearsal/performance environment. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Punctuality: Participants must arrive on time for all rehearsals and performances. Repeated lateness may result in dismissal from sections of the show.
  • Teamwork: Theater is a collaborative art. Participants are expected to work together harmoniously and support one another throughout the process.
  • Bullying: Any form of bullying, whether in person, online, or via social media, will result in immediate dismissal from the program.
  • Misconduct: Any participant who engages in misconduct online that reflects poorly on the program will be dismissed without refund.
  • Social Media Conduct: Participants must adhere to respectful and responsible behavior online, reflecting the values of the program.

  • Office Hours:
    • In-Person Office Hours: Tuesdays @4-4:15 or 8:40-9pm
    • Virtual Office Hours: Tues @9-9:30pm, Wed @1-4pm via Phone Call
    • Email: Reach out via email for the best response. Expect a reply within 48 hours.

General Release of Liability

  • By participating in CFPA activities, you acknowledge that there is a risk of injury involved in physical activity and travel. Participants and guardians accept the associated risks and agree to release Central Florida Performing Arts (CFPA) from any liability for injury incurred during participation.

Media Release Policy

Media Release Policy

By participating in activities at Central Florida Performing Arts (CFPA), I give permission to CFPA, Starbloom Dance, and entities under Brittany Noltimier to take and use video recordings and images of me. This media may be edited, altered, published, distributed, and exhibited for various purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Promotion of CFPA programs and events
  • Social media posts
  • News articles or press releases
  • Educational materials

Key Points:

  • Indefinite Authorization: This authorization applies to all current and future media formats and will continue indefinitely unless revoked in writing.
  • No Inspection Rights: I waive the right to review or approve any final products that include my likeness.
  • Compensation: I understand that I am participating voluntarily and agree to this release without compensation. I waive any rights to royalties or other payments related to the media.
  • Ownership: All media materials become the property of CFPA and will not be returned.
  • Release of Liability: I hold harmless and release CFPA from any liability, claims, or causes of action related to the use of the video or images.
